Your Perception Can Make or Break Every New Experience

I ran across this photo on the net and it just inspired me to write this blog post. In the photo, the family sees the rain as a negative thing. But the man sees it as something good and beautiful.

Your perception and the way you see things makes or breaks EVERYTHING!! If you’re not open and base all of your beliefs and ideas off of past experiences or defeating thoughts, nothing new can come in because you can’t even see it. Even if it is something new right in your path, you’ll walk right by it because you are projecting everything you’ve ever experienced on this newness that is trying to come your way.

We can’t do that.

It’s so not fair to your life and it’s evolution.

In my “path” to being a better person and in doing the work to be on a higher frequency as far as my consciousness is concerned, I’ve learned that all new experiences are simply that…NEW. Whether it be a new job, a new city, a new relationship, a new whatever, you have to allow it to be new and remain open to the newness. I’m not suggesting that you forget every lesson that you’ve ever learned about whatever the newness is and walk into it clueless. What I am suggesting is giving it a chance to be new. Give it a chance to be different. Give it a chance to show you something fresh and enjoy the experience. Try to take each individual situation just as it is, individual. Some people don’t even realize how much they compare the old to the new which is so defeating.

Believe it or not, it all comes down to trusting God in what He is putting before you. It’s all about TRUST. You have to stop trying to CONTROL and just ALLOW sometimes. In God bringing this newness into your life, you can be blocking the whole blessing in it because of your fear based off of THE PAST that formed your beliefs. You have to know that everything that He presents to you in your life has some kind of reasoning to it..EVERYTHING.

So check this out, we expect this great big vast and intelligent God to act according to human reason. But the problem with that is what we humans actually know about God is so limited compared to what there is to really know. So because we don’t know what’s going to happen next in our lives, it is spiritually incorrect to assume the worst when you perceive newness happening in your life. He speaks in change and Grace many times appears to be change, and right before revelation is usually some form of ego death.

What does that mean?

It means that for us to understand and come into our truths about ourselves and God, our old perceptions AND fears have to be shed (aka die) for NEW insight to come. Knowing this cycle can be SO helpful when you are going about the business of manifesting your dreams, creating a loving relationship, or simply just signing up for the adventure that should be your life.

See the opportunity instead of the fear in the newness. Be fair to it. Don’t already have defeating thoughts and ideas because your perception will be EXACTLY what you’ll get.

If you perceive that it doesn’t exist, whatever it may be, it won’t in YOUR world.
If you perceive that you can’t do it, you won’t in YOUR world.
IF you perceive that all men are dogs, they will be in YOUR world.
If you perceive that all females are difficult, they will be in YOUR world.

You get the point I’m sure by now.
We shape our world in our perception and how we see things.

The good thing is you have the power to change that. Only you can do it, no one else can do it for you.

  1. Thanks for writing this, it is exactly what I needed to hear in this moment. Life should be an adventure to live without fear of the unfamiliar!
